We celebrate today the feast of Christ, King of the Universe. The liturgy today reminds us of why He is our King; because He loves us. So we celebrate that we are loved immensely by this King, so much so that we have been invited to reign with Him. He has united us into His Kingdom because He loves us and has shed His blood on the cross for us (cf second reading). The cross is His throne because from there He has shown His majesty and splendor; which is love. The cross is our salvation. There, He redeemed us. He reigns in our hearts because He has conquered them with His supreme act of love on the cross. He deserves our loyal adhesion and most fervent respect. Today we pray that we be ready to accept His Kingdom in our hearts and that this Kingdom have no end in us.
